For over thirty years, Mutual Publishing has supported local writers and artists to achieve the goal of publishing their work.

Mutual considers submissions of quality manuscripts on a variety of subjects related to Hawaii and of local interest. We do not accept manuscripts on topics not related to the Hawaiian Islands as it falls outside our areas of expertise.

We accept manuscripts throughout the entire year for ALL categories of books (for example: children's, recipe, and literature).

To submit a manuscript, please send a double-spaced hard copy of the work with copies of relevant photographs or illustrations that may be necessary. Due to the quantity of manuscript submissions received yearly, it is preferable that you submit a section of the manuscript for preliminary review in lieu of a complete manuscript, particularly if the word count is lengthy.

Manuscripts may also be submitted digitally by email to info@mutualpublishing.com. We prefer lengthy manuscripts be sent via email as it allows for easier handling and reviewing by our editorial committee.

Please also include an author bio that includes a list of any previously published works. All manuscripts must have a short summary (max. 100 words) of the work. A separate longer summary (more than 100 words) may accompany manuscripts but is optional. Please allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks for a response. Please do not send an original manuscript. Mutual Publishing assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of unsolicited submitted manuscripts or related materials. If you would like your manuscript returned to you, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.
